Charles "Chuck" LaDeRoute

I will always remember Chuck's beautiful voice, wonderful mind, and happy sense of humor in Ron Clark's Hilhi Harmoniers. It was good to have such a special buddy.

I lived with Charles and Carole the summer of 1983. I worked for him, not because I knew anything about construction but because I was his son Robert's friend. I was a decent guest, but a hopeless carpenter. Nevertheless Chuck was patient and kind as well as intimidating and demanding - Perfect combination for someone to learn how to work hard. Rest In Peace Uncle Chuck. When you left this world to rest in the arms of our Lord, I'm fairly certain that your buddy Kit was there to greet you, make a new bet, and talk fishing.

Papa Chuck LaDeRoute was the best man I knew and loved, it was an honor and privilege to have him as a grandfather. His strong spirit, witty sense of humor, and unshakable faith will be deeply missed. His kind presence and generosity was a blessing to many, his memory will live on in the hearts of dear friends and loving family forever
