EXCELSIOR !!!

Peace be with the Larrabee family in this difficult period. X and I were classmates at Fairhaven High when it was destroyed by fire in 1936 and have corresponded frequently over the past 2 decades. Disposition of my thick file of saved letters will be discussed with Charley during his planned July visit to my home - methinks youall would enjoy reading them. Dear Giles, Sarah, Meg, Charley, Alex, Lucy, Jean, and family,
X was a remarkable man. Dan and I fondly remember visiting X and Margaret at the beach house in Maine many, many summers ago.
Our thoughts are with all of you.
Love,
Donna and Dan

Would that we could receive a candid & snappy description concerning his new status from our 'x' nonpareil.

The Fernald family sends its love to all Larrabees. X's poem describing what to do in 28 days in Maine was a favorite piece posted in the kitchen at Blueberry Hill Cottage. Margaret and X are part of our fondest memories.

R.I.P. to a truly fine man. Collaborating with him on Larrabee and Fairhaven history over a couple of decades was a true joy. He lived large. Noel V. Bourasaw, skagitriverjournal.com
