Not sure what to say?

Greatest professor that I had at Alabama. Very kind. I wish I had taken him up on his offer of a TA. Biggest regret I had in college. Thank you for the Econ minor DR. Leathers

Econ History of Thought and a host of other classes made him a great theory Econ teacher. He is still missed.

Dr Leathers was the best. I would be in a different place without his impact. Thank you Dr Leathers!

Dr. Leathers was an inspiration to me. He challenged me and helped me to see the world of Economics with bigger lenses. I was one the of only two girls in the class and the only Black student. When the guys in class would try to bully me he always stood up and put an end to it.

Marilyn and family, Please accept our heartfelt condolences for your loss of Charles. You were our original neighbors in Northport, AL in 1971 and Barbara and I remember you fondly for welcoming us with open arms. Our prayers are with you all.

When I asked him why we had to read the latter, he replied "it will test your...

Irene and I were shocked and saddened when we heard the news today. A great friend, colleague and coauthor. We shared hotel rooms at economics conventions in the old days when UA did not have money for single rooms! Although we have not been around Tuscaloosa in the past 18 years, we still thought of Charlie and Marylyn often. Our deepest sympathy to Marylyn and the family.

I had him for a class. I didn't like the subject but I liked the professor. RIP

May he rest in peace. He will be missed.
