Not sure what to say?

Helen,

I am so sorry to see this news ... And so late. Such a gentleman. I always feel like I owe him something...every time I "see" something. Hugs...

The world has lost a great and beautiful mind and a most unique individual. My deepest sympathy and continued prayers for the family and the, great, loss of this national-treasure,as he belonged to the world but the universe is his to hold. In his memory.

Dr. LeMaistre,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the U.S. Army-especially during WW II. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Helen,
We are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts are with you and your family.
Love,
Lindsey and Bruce

It was my distinct honor to have known Mickey LeMaistre for over 50 years, having worked with him on the original Surgeon General's Advisory Committee on Smoking and Health. The world of medicine and public health has lost a true hero and despite all he accomplished during a life-time filled with major achievements, Mickey remained the same down to earth person I first met in the summer of 1963. Love to his wife Andi and Mickey's children.

I had the privilege of working full-time for Dr. LeMaistre for 15 years. I then had the opportunity to work with him again from 2006-2008 helping with a book he was writing. He was a gentle and kind man and showed that kindness to everyone. He will be missed.

May you rest in sweet peace. Amen.
