I went to high school in Macon with Charles. He was called "Charlie" back then. We dated for five years. We made many happy and fun memories during that time and he will always have a special place in my heart.

My condolences to his family. In my youth, I shared the Macon school bus ride with him and his sisters, Jean and Jane. They were older than me but Macon is a small town and everyvody knew each other. I will always remember his kind smile and I think the tallest person I knew. May God bless him and his family.
