Dear Jane and family, My deepest condolences. Towny was a dear friend, a lunch companion and a passionate patron of the arts. I enjoyed talking with him about authors and writing, artists and painting. One fortunate day, he took me out in his boat on the Connecticut River, just to enjoy the sunshine and the shoreline. He loved his family, and adored his grandchildren. I will miss Towny, a lot. My fondest regards.

His hospitality and kindness would be hard to overstate. A natural capacity for friendship and bringing people together will be one of the many qualities that I will always remember. His counsel and friendship will be much missed.

Jane and Family, I was so sorry to hear of Towny's passing. I have fond memories of him that range from playing with him in the annual Toilet Bowl to being on the receiving end of his chest bullets whenever I spent the night with Chad. He was always very nice to me and interested in what I was doing. That's a sign of a good, caring man, mentor, and teacher. I'll miss you, Towny. RIP. With deepest sympathy, Dave Cashwell
