Not sure what to say?

I met Chuck Ludlow 50 years ago when I was 26 years old through our work at WMU. He was my mentor, an inspiration, and a Dear Friend. I will treasure him and my memories of him forever. My Love to his Family, Maury Reed

Mr. Ludlow was treasured by my parents. He was a "rock" for my Mother when my father died. I always remember him as wise, kind, and caring. He would take the time to ask me what was new, and then truly take the time to listen to my answer. I am blessed to have known him.

Chuck Ludlow was the ideal Trustee and a perfect mentor for those who followed. He was dedicated and thoroughly engaged in the pursuit of Western's excellence. The time he devoted to his alma mater was legendary. His superb leadership and professional wisdom as Chairman of the Board and Chairman of the Presidential Search Committee, 1984, provided WMU a path to prominence in U.S. higher education. Western Michigan University was indeed fortunate for the light and life of Chuck Ludlow.

Your family will be remembered in our prayers.

It was a privilege to have known the man.
We will miss him!

Jim & Janet Kolk

Chuck was a great man and an even better friend. We will miss him greatly. Our prayers are with Marion and their children.

Chuck Ludlow was one of the really good guys at Upjohn! He was a leader, honest and a real gentleman! Our thoughts, prayers, and best wishes to Marion and family!

Chuck Ludlow was one of the best trustees that WMU ever had - dedicated, capable, modest. As chair of a presidential search committee, Chuck was responsible for bringing Diether Haenicke to WMU, helping the board fulfill its most important duty - identifying and recruiting effective leadership for the campus community.
