Not sure what to say?

To the loved ones of Charlie Lyons, please except my condolences- a student at York County Community College.

My sincere condolences to the family. Although I lost touch with Mr. Lyons over the years, he will never be forgotten...not just because he touched my life as an educator, but because he was an educator who "cared". Renelle Cote Ray

Dear Lyons family,
I met Charlie in 1979 when he became my advisor in college for special education. Charlie was a fantastic advisor, teacher, mentor and human being. He assisted me in getting started in my chosen career and made lasting impressions on me as one of the best teachers/mentors I ever had. he has left his mark on many, and my deepest sympathies go to all of you for your great loss.

Just heard today about Charlie's passing. I am fortunate to say I was able to take the last class he taught. He mailed me a graded term paper (in April) with such insightful comments..it was not apparent at all that he was seriously ill. A class act, funny, tough and sweet. Charlie, you will always ROCK!

With deepest sympathys to the family of Charles Lyons. As a 2001 graduate of UMFK, President Charles Lyons served as president at UMFK for the 4 years I attended. My father also was a student at UMFK under Charles Lyons as President. He was a wonderful man and I thought very highly of him as did my father; he too has passed away from cancer. My deepest sympathy to the family.

Dear Lyons Familiy,
Just Wanted you to know that Charlie made a deep immpression on us from the moment we met him. He was so very gracious and kind to us everytime we saw him. My son Billy as truly saddened
by the news of his passing. Our deepest sympathies for the loss of this
wonderful man.
Sincerely, The Wahrer Familiy
Marty, Vickie, Matt, Ben, Billy and Katie

our deepest sympathies to you Barb and your children.

My condolences to Charlie's family and friends. Charlie was my professor and advisor at USM and a great influence on my decision to become a special education teacher. Although I had lost touch with him, I still hear his words and feel his energy and passion for education. As someone else said, he will be missed, but not forgotten.

I tutored Mathematics at Y.C.C.C in 2007 and had the great honor of meeting Charlie Lyons, and working in an educational environment in which he was the President. He one time personally called me into his office, shook my hand, and said thank you for all that I do to help students. I could tell that he cared a lot about students and appreciated the efforts of those who help make students and the college better. He was a great man. My condolences to his family, friends, and to all at Y.C.C.C...
