MacARTHUR, Charles A. - Of Swartz Creek, age 69, died Saturday, December 28, 2002 at Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich. Memorial service will be held at 11AM Saturday, January 4, 2003 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor James G. Wilber officiating. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Genesys Hospice in Goodrich. Visitation 10AM Saturday, January 4, 2003 until the time of the service at the funeral home. Mr. MacArthur was born in South Orange, New Jersey on July 12, 1933. He attended St. Matthews High School and graduated in 1951. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was discharged after 4 years. Mr. MacArthur was Exalted Ruler of Flint Elk 69-70 Club No. 222. He really loved his family, friends and Michigan Football. Mr. MacArthur was employed by Buick Motor Division for 31 years as an Industrial Engineer. Surviving are wife, Betty; sons, Kevin and Charles MacArthur, David Hatfield, Mark and wife Connie Hatfield; grandchildren, Carla and Amber Thomas; sisters, Yvonne and husband Jack Chaplin and Betty Johnson; brother, Raymond MacArthur; sister-in-law, Bethany MacArthur; special friends, James and Darlene Joy, Lynn and Peggy Ross. He was preceded in death by his brother, James O. MacArthur.
