Not sure what to say?

Sir Charles in Monterey California, November 1995, with Charles Barber.

May God who see your tears and pain of heart comfort and stenghten you to go from one day to the next in this time of such deep sorrow. For He is with those who are broken at heart and those who are crushed in spirit He saves.

I still have his recording of Messiah from the 1960s, one of the first to return to Baroque style.

May you rest in peace, maestro.

May light perpetual shine upon you, Charles. Your dedication to the craft of making beautiful music and perseverance in insuring that it was the music that was spotlighted rather than the conductor has provided a role model which all conductors should emulate. Blessings, Charles. Dixie, ND

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort as well as Jehovah Gods promise found at Revelations 21:3, 4

We would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family of Charles Mackerras. He composed beautiful music for all to enjoy and his talent will be missed. May God, the Father of tender mercies and of all comfort, ease the pain during this difficult time. (2Corinthians 1:3,4)
