He Supplied the Bucks
As director of purchasing for Windows on the World, Charles J. Mauro worked his food vendors indefatigably for their finest vegetables, fish and meat. But he was never averse to being his own supplier. Since the age of 14 he had hunted with his father, Vincent, in Hancock, N.Y., "and during hunting season he'd be up there every weekend, going for the big six-point bucks," said his wife, Barbara.
Charlie, 38, was a proud member of the National Rifle Association and the president of the Bambi Rod and Gun Club in Hancock. Charlie did have one of the six-pointers mounted, "but now it's stashed away somewhere, because we're in the middle of moving," Ms. Mauro said.
Charlie was also passionate about riding his Custom 883 Sportster Harley. Ms. Mauro added, "That six-point buck is going to be up on the wall, and Charlie's picture is going to be next to it."

Charlie Charlie Charlie what a shame what a shame what a shame. There are no words, even 16 years later. Not ever. I wish I could bring you back. I am paralyzed from a stroke now and my life never amounted to anything. You touched so many people. Oh, poor Barbara your wife. I am so sorry, Charles

Charlie you were a good guy. You always helped me in school. I wouldn't have made it through baking class without you. I was totally lost. You will not be forgotten by me or other Americans. It is beyond comprehension Martin Goldstein

To the Charles J Mauro family, I am humbled to find that my medical bills are covered under the Charles Mauro fund at Sloan Kettering Hospital for 2012. However, I wanted to search and find out who he was, needless to say I continue to pray for your family on the loss of Charles, he left me a gift of compassion paying for these ongoing medical bills. I am truly gratefull

As we near the 10th anniversary of 9/11, I think of Charles. I feel he became a part of my life when I discovered that the Charles Mauro Fund has been covering my medical bills at Sloan Kettering Cancer center for the year 2011. I am so grateful to this family and pray God's Blessings on them especially during this time. His life continues to touch others.

Barbara - hope you are well. I wanted you to know that everyone here at Buckhead Beef misses Charie everyday. He was a great friend to me and everyone here. Every Kiss song or Devils-Ranger's game gives me a chance to reflect on how much I miss him.
God Bless.
