Not sure what to say?

How Sad we are to hear of your loss.
As a former employee of University Hospital, I knew the excellent reputation of B&C. When we brought home our premature adoped son, Joel from Turkey a cousin recommended the best pediatricians on staff, Dr. Staples and Mc Clelland. Their care was excellent, but it was Dr. Mac. who was there for us when we had no insurance and recommended us to the proper channels. When we encountered the problems of early adolescence his advice, kindness and...

I was a scared first time mother of a premature baby boy. So many complications and with grace, humor and most of all natural medical skill this wonderful man saved my childs life. He also took care of our other two children. When he retired I cried as I do today remembering this gift from God. God Bless his family and bring them comfort.

When I saw Dr. McClelland's obituary, I knew I had to sign the guest book. Dr. McClelland took care of my first son, Justin, when he was just a few months old. We had just moved back home to Cleveland from Erie, PA - my husband and I both unemployed and with no insurance and a very sick newborn. Dr. McClelland diagnosed Justin with "Failure to Thrive" syndrome, made sure he got hospitalized under a special grant so we had no expenses and took great care of our Justin. Justin's now a 24 year...

Mac took care of our two children when I was a resident in General Surgery at University Hospitals in the early 60's. He never charged us. He would take us out to dinner, and he continued to send Christmas notes for years afterward. He has no equal!

As a child, I never remember being fearful of going to the doctor. I know my parents were incredibly confident in both Dr McClelland and Dr Staples. My thoughts and prayers for the family and heartfelt thanks for sharing this wonderful man with so many.

Dr. McClelland - The very best of the best! How grateful we are to have had the blessing of knowing you. You set such great examples for us all. You will be missed.

Dr. McClelland treated our four children with great care and kindness. Even though in Florida for ten years now, my wife and I still remember his kindness and fatherly care for all of our children.

What a loss.
God knows if we are fortunate, we are graced to meet one moral person in our lifetime who lives what he teaches. Such a man of moral character is to be missed.
I first met Dr. Mac in 1970 after the birth of my first child. He nurtured me as well as my child, and three years later when I had my second child he was there to welcome him into the world. He was there through the knocks and bumps of childhood and the anger, pain and confusion of young adulthood. There was...

Nowadays there don't seem to be so many men as brilliant, as thoughtful, as caring, and as dedicated as Dr. Mac, my very good friend of more than forty years, whom I miss greatly.
