Charles Walter McDaniel

I am preparing to move into a new home and found a letter from my friend Charles. I had let too much time slip away so of course I started to search and was heartbroken to find that Charles had passed away. My prayers to Maggie and the entire family. Charles was a great man who inspired me in the second half of my Navy career. Thank you for all of your kind words and you will always be missed.

Since we rarely read the Erie Times News, I had no idea that Charlie had died recently. Charlie and I loved to talk and joke about politics at the Penn Briar, and I assumed he was in Florida for a few months. I really liked Charlie. He was one of a kind and a fun person to be around. I am very grateful for the many years of his support for our Erie Peace & Justice Center. I wish Marilyn and his loved ones the best as they grieve the loss of this good man.

Dear McDaniels I will truly miss your Dad and Husband I loved building his pond and waterfall and loved helping him maintain it. I learned so much from his vast knowledge of perenniels. I will miss him.

Dear McDaniels, I am so sorry to hear of your sad sad loss. We have not talked for a very long time, but please know our family is praying for you. I have fond memories of "Mr McDaniel", as I knew him. He was a good neighbor to my parents, and they only spoke well of him in return.
