My condolences to the family. I did not know Charles (I am friends with Kemp), but it seems like Charles accomplished a great amount of worthwhile things in his life. I wish you all the best.

Charlie and I became friends when I served as Clerk of the House of Delegates. He would come in my office with some parliamentary or procedural question, which we would discuss on end. I very much appreciated his visits and his interests in good government . He was a fine gentleman.

To you Kemp, his wife, I send my deepest sympathy. You've been through so much. Although I didn't know your husband, I respected his insights. Prayers your way and to your family.
