The world lost a great man and bright light on Sunday February 8th, 2026. His name was Charles E. McKinney III, but to all those he touched, he was Chip. He was the proud son of Chuck and Jeanne McKinney, fixtures in the community of Olmsted Falls for years. He was one of eight siblings - Tommye,...

Not sure what to say?

Chip was more to me than just a guy I´ve worked with for 15 years. He was family. Always asking about how my wife and kids were doing. Making sure they had everything they needed. Like they were his own. Our offices were next to each other and he´d constantly say, David I´m on Amazon, what do you need? The daily lunch conversations of what we would have and who´s picking it up. His love of sports was always a topic of conversation. We loved to share stories about our kids growing up and their...

I know Chip from working at Motorcars Acura. From Day One he was trying to find out everything he could about my previous years at Motorcars Honda, Military history, my children, parents, where I grew up. As time passed, every person who came to work At Motorcars he would ask the same questions. He was a sponge when it came to knowing people and their background. He knew his customers names from decades ago and took notes like he was in a courtroom. My daughter and Madeline were a year...

I met Chip in 2002 at Motorcars Acura and loved his demeanor and faith based life . He taught me many Bible quotes that I remember to this day. He had a great attitude about life and friends that was contagious. He will truly be missed. God Bless him and his family throughout these difficult times.

Thx Mary and know he is in my prayers. Chip and are were very close when it was time in our lives. Meeting all the family members was an extra special prayer to me because I had never met such a loving family. Chip and I really last had the joys in our friendship at two Koinanias. Time and its choices we made left us split in physical ways but we were close brothers in Christ. Our Motorcycle Plevna trip made us blood brothers and made happy family members for me. Your mom and dad always...

Charlie, we had many good times, and even more times where you shared very sage words that put me at ease. The thought of you has me laughing and sobbing at the same time. Heaven is enjoying a new star; Chuck, Jeanne, and Marti are thrilled. The picture above says it all. Rest in His arms

Chip and I go back to 1989 when he and I began at Freedom Mortgage. We quickly became friends and ultimately became best of friends who confided in each other with all the good and bad things going on in our lives. He was the most generous and positive guy I've ever known. Throughout the past 36 years we have had moments of laughter and tears, of vacations together, and cherished personal stories I will never forget. He babysat my girls when we went on short vacation and was at every wedding...

Your words painted a vibrant picture of a life well lived. My deepest sympathy. Laura Sudkamp

Chip, Bob, and I had some good times together, going to sporting events and having drinks. He would come to most of the family events we had. Celebrating birthdays and graduations! We are going to miss his bubbly personality. Always had nice things to say to everyone. Wished we would have had more time!

I was privileged to know Chip through his job. He always made a point to speak with me and always had a compliment ready to share. I will miss seeing him and his smile. He was a true gentleman.
