Charles H. ''Chuck, Charlie'' McLean, beloved husband of Liz; devoted father of Carian (Mark Kraus) McLean and Kristina (James Babe) McLean; cherished grandfather of Zachariah, Xander and Hannah. During Charlie's 45 year professional engineering career with IDOT, CDOT and private consulting firms, he set an example for innovation and excellence. A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, Nov. 4, 2002, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Chicago Botanical Gardens, 1000 Lake Cook Rd., Glencoe, IL. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Department of Civil and Materials Engineering at University of Illinois-Chicago, 842 W.
