Charles Lucas McLemore, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2025, in Cypress, Texas. He was 80 years old.
Born on November 11, 1944, in Richton, Mississippi, Charles was the son of Margaret M. McLemore and Benjamin Lucas McLemore. Charles is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Patsy McLemore; daughter, Margaret Ruth Barnett and her husband, Greg Barnett; son, Todd Lucas McLemore and his wife, Tisha McLemore; and five cherished grandchildren: Bridget Ruth Barnett, Brenda Joyce Barnett, Abigail Grace McLemore, Samuel Lucas McLemore, and William Montgomery McLemore. He is also survived by many cousins and dear friends who will remember his kindness, generosity and unconditional love for his family.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 5:00–8:00pm at Klein Funeral Home, 9719 Wortham Blvd, Houston, TX 77065. A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at Cypress Methodist Church, 13403 Cypress N. Houston Rd, Cypress, TX 77429. Charles will then make his final trip home to Mississippi and be laid to rest at 10am on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at Charleston Cemetery, 1336 Elizabeth Street, Charleston, MS 38921.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cypress Methodist Church in honor of Charles McLemore.
