Dear Mrs. McPhail, Susan, Jeff and Grandchildren,

On behalf of all of Charlie's friends in the Syracuse University Varsity Club, where he served as its President, we extend our sympathy to you at this time and say "thank you", Charlie, for the many gifts you gave back to Syracuse Athletics over the years and for the service you provided to our Club.

We were very sorry to hear of your Charlie's passing. I will remember his banjo playing in the summer nights in Boston while Fant played the guitar. I am glad that we had the McPhail Fanily reunion in St. Paul in 1992. I will keep all of you in my prayers and thoughts.
