Charles Meyer, 42, of Utah passed away unexpectedly due to a car accident on October 12, 2011. Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, October 17, 2011, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, ND. There will be no visitation, as Charles' wish was to be cremated. Charles was born August 13, 1969, to James and Karen Meyer in Mandan, North Dakota. Charles graduated high school in 1988, and served in the US Army from 1989-1992. Charles made his career in tree trimming and tree removal which he loved and was very thorough. This allowed him to be outdoors and show his talents. He was one of the last in the trade that could climb a tree and remove it when others couldn't. He recently was working in North Dakota to help the flooding victims clean up. Some of his clients considered him the best babysitter since the neighborhood children would just watch him as he worked. Clients were always impressed with his work and also some considered him their guardian angel for the help he gave them. Charles loved his family and friends very much. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. He will be deeply missed and will never be forgotten. Charles is survived by his wife, Jennifer Meyer, daughter Raina (23 mo), son Cayle (4 mo), stepson Tyler Haun in Riverton, UT; parents, James and Karen Meyer, Solen, ND; brothers, Michael Meyer, Solen, ND, James R and Shirley Meyer, Thornton, CO, William and Christine Meyer, Solen, ND; sister, Mary and Mike Myers, Ft Collins, CO; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Louise Meyer and Ralph and Fern Elster. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family, which will be used toward Charles' children's futures.
