Charles was a favorite visitor in our family. Never was intimidated by the jokes and inside stories of our big family--he jumped right in and added to the laughs. He even helped Susan move to her new house! The true test of a friendship! :)
If that wasn't enough, he solidified his place as a honorary family member by raving over Mom's meatless sloppy joes! What a guy!

I met C.J. as a boy of 12 when my best friend, Nancy DeBliek, was about to become his stepmother. I remember his playful energy and exuberance as he turned cartwheels on the putt putt golf course. He had a wonderful smile. I'm so sad that he is gone so young!
