I first met Charles in 1976, when I had just been hired as an art director for a small agency in Palo Alto, California. We worked together on a corporate brochure for a semiconductor company in the Valley; I remember Charlie's passion for the project and his insistence on using his Leicas to shoot the job. When I rode with Dad on his Cushman scooter to Dexter Ave. church, I was maybe 7-8 years old. Excited (because he was taking me along) and a little overwhelmed meeting this huge man (Dr.King)who bent down and shook my hand.
