Not sure what to say?

Liz and Blake,
You may know him as Grandfather, but I knew him as Chick. Regardless, he was a great neighbor and kind friend. I know that Blake and I will personally miss him for his humorous "business meetings" when Blake and I created our own company. We will all miss him. May he rest in peace.

Dear Rob, Sally, Blake and Elizabeth,
We just learned of Chick's death (10/30/07) and were very surprised and saddened. He accomplished so much good as a Board member for all of us here in Four Seasons Town Home Community. We appreciate his hard work, friendliness and intelligence and we will miss him. May he be in blissful peace.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Sally - we are sorry to read of the death of your father. We knew you long ago for you were our flower girl in our wedding forty-seven years ago. You probably don't remember us, but you may remember the event. I'm sorry to read that your mother is also gone now. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We've thought of you many times over the years and wondered how you and your parents were. Take comfort in your memories and know that your parents are in Heaven now watching...

Blake and Liz--

I am so sorry for your loss of "Grandfather." I know he had such a special place in both of your lives and your sharing of stories made us all feel as though we had known him, or at least a glimpse of him. You will carry those little vinettes with you always and they will be part of "grandfather's" legacy.

A sad but fond farewell to my good friend "Chick" Morris. Most everyone called him by that nickname but I called him "Colonel" out of deep respect and admiration for his courageous service to our country.
Citizen, Soldier, Father and Friend, He was a man who had no enemies and is now reunited with so many others that bravely fought for our peace and freedom.
Welcome to your eternal home in all of our hearts. We are all better people for having known you.
Semper Fi.
