Mr. Murphy was my eight grade English teacher, many many years ago! I have very clear memories of his gentlemanly manners and soft spoken ways. We enjoyed many books in that class.but i remember specifically that he was able to make "Johnny Tremain" an interesting read for an eighth grade girl. My condolences, may he rest in peace.
