It was with extreme sadness I learned of Charlie's passing. He was a great friend and mentor. He opened my mind to the possibilities in life, career and faith. He always had a way to lightened the moment with a story or a joke, and this will be how I will always remember him. God bless you all.

My morning walks with Spike will never be the same - Charles was usually sitting on the porch as we passed, and we would wave and comment on the weather, until I would see him later in the day when he would share a story like how he "used to deliver newspapers in our building at 698 Bronson when he was a boy".
