Charles "Chuck" Neeley

It's been a while since my last post. Just want the Neeley family know that he is ALWAYS on my mind. He was the one during AIT to call me Grandma since i was the oldest. The night before he went out on his mission. He was so HAPPY to have finally go outside the wire on mission as a gunner. I am very proud to have spent time with him during our AIT. And be deployed at the same time. He he always on my heart.

I can't believe it has been ten years tomorrow since your passing. I remember talking to you the night before. You had just gotten back from your R&R. I will never forget you and your family. Always in my thoughts and prayers. You are not forgotten.

Today my husband and I attended worship at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church in Atlanta, GA where they were having their annual Freedom service. During this service they honor all of those who fought in current and previous wars. On the front lawn is a display called Prayers for Peace which is a display of beautiful gold and blue ribbons each with the name, rank and age of someone who has given his or her life in the Iraqi and Afghanistan wars.
