Not sure what to say?

I met Charlie when I was 15. I had always felt like an outsider as I didn´t know anyone other than my grandparents. I lived with them for a year and they knew about my love for horses and would take me to see Charlie´s horses. I can never remember if my favorite was named Dan or Ben. I had many conversations with him over the years and then fast forward I´m 30 years old and he asked me if I knew that he was my great uncle. Of course I did, but I never really thought about it. I´m glad that we...

Remember Charlie coming to the mill as a little girl. I was always grilled to see Major on top of the log pile Charlie was bringing in to Grampa Hammond. Charlie was a gentle giant with a heart to match. Rest In Peace

Charlie had a smile that just melted your heart.

Charlie was such a fine man. It was a pleasure just to run into him; he greeted everyone with a smile. I'm sure he will be just as popular in heaven as he was on earth. If this earth were filled with men like Charlie Neily, what a wonderful world it would be. You will be terribly missed by so many.

so sorry for your great loss we will always keep you in our hearts

Charlie was the best...I looked up to him very much he was kind with a very big heart I waited on Charlie for many years he was often my first customer of the day at the Canaan center store and at the restaurant. So very sorry to hear this. Charlie was such a nice man and his stories were so great! He really was a "Gentle Giant". Always had a smile. RIP Charlie, fly high

It was the men like Charlie that I got to grow up around. He was Good, honest and hard working person. My dad Gorden (Rip) Lary always had a good friendship with Charlie and that allowed me to spend a lot of time around him growing up. God Bless you Charlie and thanks for all the important lessons growing up in Canaan.

My deepest sympathies to all whom he loved.
