Rittman - Charles W. Nieman, 87, of Rittman died Tuesday, April 05, 2005 at the Apostolic Christian Home.

He was born on March 25, 1918 in Seville to Henry W. and Margaret (Hedinger) Nieman and lived in the Sterling/Rittman area since 1943.

He was a retired farmer and a member of the Smithville Apostolic Christian Church.

He married, Delphine Beery on May 8, 1943 and she survives. Also surviving are sons, Denny (Kay) Nieman of Sterling, and Boyd (Teri) Nieman of Sterling; daughter, Bonnie Nieman of Rittman; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Irene Schlayer of Wadsworth. A son, Dale Nieman, brothers, Calvin, Eugene, Alvin, and Roy Nieman; and a sister, Margaret Bauman all died previously.

Services will be held Friday at 10:30 A.M. at the Smithville Apostolic Christian Church, 8530 Fulton Rd., Sterling with ministers of the church officiating. Burial will be at the Apostolic Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4, 6-9 P.M. on Thursday at the Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman and from 9:30 -10:15 A.M. on Friday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Apostolic Christian Home, 10680 Steiner Rd., Rittman, OH 44270, or Hospice & Palliative Care of Greater Wayne County, 2525 Back Orrville Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
