I didn´t chuck and Patsy had passed away. Had been awhile since I heard from chuck so I was just looking around on the internet and found out that news. I´m a Richner and chuck sent me some info about how we were related. My dad was Ernest Richner from Randolph. , Kansas he passed away in 1988.

I worked with Chuck for many years at NASA Ames Research Center. He was a dear friend and colleague. He was always full of energy and enthusiasm for life. I remember when he used to take the ingredients for Mexican food to Switzerland and cook for his Swiss relatives. After he retired and moved to Beaverton, he even met the wife of one of my cousins. She accompanied a friend who was going to a Parkinson’s meeting. Chuck was sitting near them with his NASA...

Chuck was a great guy. I met him a little more than 30 years ago when the experimental supercomputer he managed was right next to one I managed in a computer room in San Diego. And then I would see him when visiting the NASA AMES computing center to work on projects over the years. Chuck was always the most positive, helpful, and friendly person in any group.
