I can only echo the beautiful sentiments expressed by those before me. You were a great man Charlie Niles - in so many ways.

Diane and I will miss him very much. From the time we first met as freshmen at Boston College when we would play bridge while Mary fed us, until his most recent trip to Boston for our 55th reunion, every occasion with Charlie was a delight. Who could forget his friendship, wit and wonderful laugh. He was a fine and wise friend, and his like will not be seen again.

I was saddened to learn of Charlie's passing. When I was a new participant in the business he loved, Charlie always went out of his way to ask about how I was doing and to offer suggestions, counsel and guidance that helped shape my new career. He was one of a kind who will certainly be missed

I am very sorry to hear about Charley's passing. I sat with him on arbitration panels and was so much impressed with his integrity, fairness and keeping a tight leash on the lawyers who were presenting their cases. I will miss his wit and wisdom, especially in comparing the athletic prowess of his Boston College football team.

I am very sorry to hear of Charlie's passing. He possessed wonderful analytical skills, wit, and wisdom. About one year ago, Charlie served as an umpire in an arbitration in which I served as one of the lawyers. He did a marvelous job, as I'm sure that he did in all things. The world of insurance and reinsurance is much better for Charlie's many contributions.
