"The Mayor of Southwick"... The beloved Mayor of Southwick. Charlie was a Senior in high school when I was a freshman. Talk about first impressions. Charlie was, is and always will be larger than life in so many ways. Going all the way back to my very first memory of this very memorable man, all I can ever remember is the sweetest, kindest and most generous man anyone could ever be so lucky as to have made his acquaintance. So many great memories throughout the years from 1978 when I first...

Whenever you were around Charlie you were treated as immediate family and was given 100% of his attention at all times. Wether he was choreographing a dance to No More I Love You's by Annie Lennox for my cousin and I to present to our day camp, or shooting basketball and giving me the nickname Long Shot Bellott. Charlie was always having fun and so were you. You will be missed buddy.

Some 40 years back at major music show with some tobacco working friends from the wick got caught in a rib crushing stage rush, Charlie Nitch and his buddy Jimmy put themselves between the mad onslaught and me. No one moved that wall. He just chuckled like sorry we did not see that coming so fast when thanked. He took care of his ubiquitous friends, a friendship freely given. Unconditionally trustworthy, loyal, hard working, honest, and much more.
