Not sure what to say?

Charlie, you were a daily inspiration to me and I wished I had taken you up on the numerous times you offered to run with me. My fear- I could never keep up with you! I certainly enjoyed working with you all those years in patrol On the street, and again after you went to dispatch. I always considered you a good friend and how lucky I was to know and work with you. You were a true officer´s officer, and had the respect of all you worked with. Take care my friend until we meet again.

I'm late writing here but wanted to express my condolences to his family. Charlie was my main encouragement during my journey to becoming a Police Officer. His smile and friendly demeanor will be forever in my memories. Many conversations at Robinson Hardware on Limestone, or anywhere he was running, which was everywhere! You will be greatly missed my friend.....

Gone too soon, Charlie :-( So many fond memories I have of the days when you and I flew trikes together around Arizona's Lake Pleasant in the '90s. I'll never forget the stories you told, as well as your outgoing and friendly demeanor. My sympathies to Germaine and the family.

Germaine, You and I have only met briefly, once or twice, but I had the privilege of working with Charlie. I was a dispatcher at Metro. I knew Charlie about 10 years. He was a fine officer. The man was gifted with humor, honesty and integrity. Through his job, you could tell he was a caring man. We never got to see each other outside of work. I regret that. But I want you to know that I thought he was a fine man and it was an honor to know him. Please accept my sympathy. James Medley

My deepest sympathies to Germaine and the family. I was fortunate to have Charlie O as my dispatcher when I was shift commander at UKPD. He was a positive influence on everyone he worked with. I recall when Glen Ellis and I would go the farm south of Nicholasville to watch Charlie fly his Paraplane. Charlie O was a great guy who will be missed by so many.

I worked with Charlie at the UK Police Department. We were both dispatchers who became police officers. He dispatched night shift and said he liked the last cup of coffee from the pot. He said that it was black and so thick that it could hold up your spoon and keep you awake. I know Charlie loved to run. Sorry for your loss.

You impacted the lives of many. You will truly be missed. 660 go!

My condolences and thoughts are with you , Germaine

I would be setting outside in my wheelchair when Charlie would go jogging around Castlewood park He never failed to stop and say hello and we would talk Charlie was a very special person and he always tried to keep physically fit I followed my friend Charlie through his police work with the University of Kentucky the Fayette County Sheriffs office I am so sad and was shocked to hear about Charlie´s death Charlie was the best I´ll miss him
