Not sure what to say?

Joy and I only met Chuck one time, but the humor and wit noted in other entries was certainly evident that day. To Jody and his family, we extend our sympathy.

chuck is one of those energies that no matter how far away he might be from you - even in another space - he is right there with you when you need to hear his words, when he lends a sympathetic ear, when he puts himself out there for you to be you, and when he makes you laugh so hard you pee your pants. my thoughts and prayers to your family chuck.

The Hayden's were fortunate enough to go on the Mediterrean Cruise with Chuck and Jody two years ago and will always remember Chuck's wit and fun-loving spirit. The friendship continued through email jokes. Our deepest condolences to Jody and to all of Chuck's family.

I've known Chuck and Jody since the "DC Days"........Chuck was always quck with a quote, fast with a joke, and a genuine person to be with - either at dinner or just to chat over a drink. He will be missed mightily

My deepest sympathies to Jody and to all of Chuck's family. I knew Chuck from Jody. Chuck was a great man. God rest his soul.

I met Chuck and Jody when they first moved to San Diego. "Chuckster" was witty, kind, and a GREAT listener. He was Jody's rock, and they complemented each other greatly. Chuck and Jody were lucky to have each other and were lucky enough to know it. Children speak volumes about their parents and Chuck's daughters were ladies through and through. I am honored I had the privilege to meet him, I am a better person for it. Thank You Chuck and Godspeed!

The Passing Parade:
Charles, was named after his maternal grandfather, Charles Wittwer. He inherited many of the traits of his grandfather and enjoyed traveling, being with friends, and watching the growth and development of his daughters with great love and pride. The pioneering spirit of his grandparents (They participated in the great Oklahoma land opening) was evident in my brother. He designed and built the family home at 7200 Peninsula Drive and was at his finest when "pioneering"...

To Those I Love

If I should ever leave you,
Whom I love
To go along the silent way. . .
Grieve not.
Nor speak of me with tears.
But laugh and talk of me
As if I were beside you there.

(I'd come. . .I'd come,
Could I but find a way!
But would not tears and
And grief be barriers?)

And when you hear a song
Or see a bird I loved,
Please do not let the thought of me
Be sad. . .for I am loving you
Just as I always have. . .

You...

What wonderful memories of Chuck and Traverse City and our home on Peninsula Dr. He was a treasured friend, a good father, and will be missed alot.
