Not sure what to say?

Charles was one of the kindest and most energetic members of the local union community. My warmest condolences to you, Carol, and to the rest of your family.

He was our neighbor for 23 years. Will be greatly missed. Always enjoyed it when they would stop and talk when out on their walks.

We will miss you always

Charles was my landlord for a year in the early 1980s. I think he had, perhaps, the biggest personality in Humboldt County. I always looked forward to speaking with him just so I could listen to him -- hardly an interaction that didn't involve at least a brief story and I was always entertained. What a guy!

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

I admired Charles and appreciated his friendship and support. His commitment to building a better community was huge and entered a room with him like an aurora. He will be missed in many ways.

What a blessing Charles was to my life. This beautiful, complex man who lived as a child in the horror of Nazi occupied France, had a passion for freedom, liberty that few today understand. His capacity for hard work was only exceeded by his unconditional love of America, his community and family. I had coffee and a long visit with Charles a few days before his passing while Carol was at Ti Chi. His adoration and love for her oozed from every part of his being. Thank you for being my friend...

Dan,

My heart goes out to you and your family. I know you will always be strong. Blessings to all of you.

Daniel, Jayne and Family - we are saddened to learn of the death of your brother. It is difficult to lose a loved one, especially a sibling. May God bless you and your family as you go through this time of loss. May you remember the good times that you enjoyed together and rest in the peace that you will one day see each other again.
