NASHVILLE, Ohio — Charles "Chuck" Oswalt, age 65, of Nashville, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord, on Friday, Jan. 6, 2017 at Pomerene Hospital in Millersburg. Chuck was born Jan. 31, 1951, in Union City, Indiana, and was the son of "Hap" and Dora Oswalt.

I miss Ozzie as anyone who knew him would. We used to play a lot basketball together. Whether it was a faculty game or recreational league or just getting guys together to play, I always wanted Oz on my team as he was a great rebounder and would kick it back to me for my shot. I miss our conversations about Browns, Indians, Cavs, and Buckeyes. I always loved to listen to Oz’s opinions on how to fix what was wrong. Rest In Peace friend.

I am so sorry to hear about Charles' death. I just found out about it today. He was always a joy to be around. When I was young, he always treated me like a little princess. He was a favorite cousin for sure. God bless you all in your loss of this special person.

To Charlie's entire family, Our hearts go out to each one of you. He meant the world to so many people. He had such a beautiful since of humor, he was trustworthy, he had a sweet smile, he was was kind and he was happy or at least made you think that. Mr. Oswalt had a wonderful impact on my life as a basketball coach. He was always positive, reassuring and I genuinely loved being around him as a player and student. He always had a smile on his face! I am so sorry for you loss Oswalt family, but you can be comforted knowing that he is in Heaven celebrating an earthly life well lived!
