Charles Ott Charleston - Charles Roland Ott, 74, of Charleston, passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2018. Charlie was born on July 20, 1944 in Charleston, SC, son of the late Samuel David and Mary Forsberg Ott. He graduated from Bishop England High School and the Baptist College. Charlie's US Postal Career spanned 37 years. Charlie is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lynda Sisson; son, Kevin; granddaughter, Lucy; brothers, David (Sally), Gerald (Sandy), Eddie; sisters, Pam Straughn (Jerry), Mary Ann Albertson, (David); sister-in-laws, Delores Rupley (Greg), Mary Ellen Williams (Jimmy) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one niece, Mary Frances Ott. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 (www.stjude.org). Linda, I am so sorry about Charlie. We had just been talking about ya'll when Rod got your message. Those two had so many good times and so many precious memories and all of us have some very special times to remember. You are in our hearts and prayers and we will always be here for you. Charlie and my brother were very close friends in school at Bishop England. May God bring your entire family comfort in days a head. God has taken Charlie home to a much better place but you will always have the memories to share, something no one can ever take away from you.
