Not sure what to say?

My name is Gaylan Darrell Bond. Chuck took me under his wings when he saw that I was a young man in trouble without guidance but of endless abilities. We met one day at the Saginaw YMCA MDOC programs when one of his workers didn't show up. We talked in the parking lot fir hours. Then he realized he had yo go. We made arrangements. He picked me up that next week, got me to thr job sight, saw how hard I worked and was willing to learn and was amazed at how I learned in 3 months what he said...

To the entire Palmateer family I wish to extend my deepest sympathy in Charlie's passing. He was a wonderful Christian friend to me. I got to know him while attending Yale High School and visiting his brother, Harry, at the Palmateer farm. He was always a great guy to be around. I sure remember the fun we had with Harry and Donny skiing on barrel staves and pulled behind my hot rod 1950 Chevy pickup on the knolls behind the Palmateer house one snowy winter day. I was so happy for him...

Brenda, I'm so sorry about Chuck's death. You were an amazing and selfless caregiver for so long. Our thoughts are with you.

Dear Mrs. Palmateer....my deepest sympathy during this very difficult time. I know you won't remember who I am...you taught so many. But I have never forgotten you...you were one of my favorite teachers at South School. Blessings to you and your family. Marge MacArthur Burke

My sympathy to you and your family, Brenda. I have fond memories of Chuck as we worked closely with him getting students on the right path.

Dear Brenda, So sorry to hear about Chuck's passing. Kind of lost touch in the last few years with him. I'll always have fond memories working with Chuck on the construction sites. He always brought many laughs and good times to the job. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. Keith and Brenda Frey along with our sons.

I worked with Chuck during my early years as a counselor in the Saginaw Public Schools. He always brought smiles to the faces of all. He will always be remembered.
