I only knew Charlie through speaker tape. But he has been hugely important in opening my eyes to a deeper, more meaningful existence. Charlie carried a great message. He had the integrity and open-mindedness to learn from his own experience and the experience of others, and the ability to hand that gift to countless people he never met, myself included. As a member of Al-Anon most of you don't know me. I spent a evening meal with Charlie several years ago in a small Mississippi town. He gave me great advice on dealing with the addict's in my life. He also gave me his cell number and was always available for a little encouragement through life. Thank you God for putting Charlie in my life.

Some lives are much more impactful than others. The deceased still resides in our heart. The time we spent together, traveled together makes us smile. I have never known anyone who knew so many jokes. Charlie was a man for all seasons. Hard working. Great husband. Great father. Great friend. A big footprint. I don't think he will be missed.
