Education has changed drastically, and the beauty of Charlie is that he never did! He was timeless and always relative! Dr. Pate was one of my favorite professors at Salem. I loved his sense of humor and he always had great patience with complex topics. I will miss him greatly but thank him for the positive impact he had on my life.

I will always be grateful to Charlie for encouraging me to get my young children signed up for swim team at the Peace Haven pool. We spent many happy summers at the pool, and both children swam on the Mt. Tabor High swim team. I'm sending prayers and peace for his family.
