Not sure what to say?

Mr. Payne,
Sir, as a fellow Marine I would just like to say thank you for your years of dedicated service and sacrifice-first for our Country when you served in the USMC during the Korean War and secondly for the citizens of Dedham when you served as a Law Enforcement Officer. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Bobby & Family:

I was saddened to hear of you Dad's passing.

Dad & I have been friends for many years. He was a wonderful man and always a gentleman.

May you and your family always remember the happy times you shared together.

God Bless you and your family.

FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF MASSACHUSETTS MARINE CORPS LEAGUE:

Please accept our deepest regrets and condolences on the passing of Marine Veteran Charles Payne.
There is a poem written by a Marine in the Korean War.
It goes like this,

Do not stand by my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds circling in flight.
Do not stand by my grave and cry ...
I am not...

Robbie-
I was so very sorry to hear of your Dad's passing, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your brother and sister & families. Your Dad was a fun and friendly neighbor, as we grew up. The neighborhood won't be the same without him.

Charlie,

It's been a long time. My sincere condolences on the passing of your Dad. May it comfort you to know that he has left you with many fond memories. Treasure them as they will lessen your pain as the days go by.

Robbie, Charlie & Martha,
I'm so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. He was a wonderful guy. I'll always remember his smiling face. He was the friendliest neighbor we had growing up! May God let him rest in peace. My family's thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I'm sorry to hear of Mr. Payne's passing. My condolences to Martha, Charlie and Rob. I grew up as a neighbor to the Paynes and was always impressed with his work as a police officer. A great guy - always with a smile and a wave for us kids! And always helping my parents and others in the neighborhood, such as taking the time to plow snow from driveways and parking areas.
