I considered Cap to be a highly respected friend of mine who fully supported our Mt. Rainier Chapter of Washington State professional Engineers.

Cap was a friend and mentor to me when I´d first joined Rotary. He was on several committees with me and had a passion for giving generously whenever asked. Always kind-hearted and caring and a die-hard COUG. Sad to hear of his passing. Condolences to his family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Cap´s family. He was a true professional and great mentor to hundreds of young engineers over his 42 years with Tacoma. It was a privilege to learn from his expertise and experience. Truly a great Engineer, Tacoma will miss him. Go Cougs Cap! I will miss you.

Cap was my friend in Rotary who I worked with to set up of the annual auctions and was a steadfast supporter of Rotary projects. We shared a mutual love of cats. I remember him dressing up in a full safari outfit to participate in The animal themed Rotary auction in 1998. Cap was a true gentleman. Rest in peace, friend.

I worked with "Cap" for over twenty years with the City of Tacoma . He was the "go to guy" when you wanted to know the practical application of the the city´s building code. He was also an expert witness in several of my trial cases defending the city. A complete professional and gentleman. I am sorry for his family´s loss.

Cap was a lifelong friend. His dad was the best man at my parents' wedding. Our dads took Cap and I with them to an Architectural conference at WSU when I was eleven and Cap was 13. While our dads were in meetings, Cap gave me the grand tour of the campus (not sure he'd been there before, but we had a great time). He was always one of the most pleasant people I've ever known. RIP Cap!

Great presence at Holy Cross Parish in Tacoma. Classy guy that will be truly missed. He was widely respected as the code official at the City of Tacoma. If not mistaken, he had a role with ICBO as well. Bottom line, he was a giving / loving / caring guy that met folks where they were. Always open to guide and assist when work needed to be done. Perhaps the ethical and moral duty to ensue life safety measures for Clients, Architects, Engineers and builders was much more than what we...
