My family has unforgettable memories from CP. Never forget...

It was 1990, I was 10 years old and my family and I were flying from London to Orlando via Newark. I sat next to a lovely friendly couple and we chatted a lot throughout the 8 hour flight. Before we got off the plane, the jolly white haired man gave me his rotary card and said 'if ever you're in Colorado, drop in!' That was Charlie. And thus began an amazing friendship that lasted almost 29 years despite the distance between us. When I was 16 years old, my best friend and I took Charlie up on his offer and we dropped into Colorado, spending two amazing weeks on Charlie and Susan's beautiful ranch, celebrating 4th July and visiting all their friends and family, including their granddaughter Dani who has also been a great friend over the years. After I got married in 2009, Charlie, Susan and Dani came to visit me in London and meet my husband and we had a fantastic few days shopping in Harrods, eating in Covent garden and visiting other popular London sights. My only regret is that I didn't manage to get back to Colorado in time for Charlie to meet my two children. He was a wonderful man and I am hugely sad and sorry for his family, especially Susan, Dani and Chelsea. He will be forever in my thoughts and memories. Sleep well Charlie, love Emma xxx

I did not know Charlie Peterson personally.
However, after reading this story of his life and seeing his picture, I realize that I did know Charlie, very personally, threw my longtime friendship with his son, Bruce.
Bruce, you carry your Dad's honor, respect, and legacy of how to be a great man!

With our long-time friendship with Charlie's son, Bruce, Charlie was always very kind to Loretta and me. During our visits to the ranch, Charlie always made us feel so welcome and part of the family, as he did with all of his guests. He had a great run and his smile will be missed. Our condolences to the entire family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Peterson family. Charlie was a great individual and an excellent boss. He is responsible for helping me as well as many other students in getting through college by providing employment at his Campus Pharmacy in Greeley Colorado. We all have lost a true friend.
