Charles Pitman, age 70, of Nancy, KY, passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center.


Charles was born on June 6, 1950 in Faubush, KY to the late Eugene Glen Pitman and Bessie Marita Roberts Pitman.  He was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Air Force.  Charles was a Deputy for the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department and later retired from the Administrative Office of the Courts out of Frankfort.  He was a UK Basketball fan and enjoyed gardening and farming.  Charles especially enjoyed traveling and going to the beach.


He is survived by his wife, Debbie Ping Pitman of Nancy; three brothers, Danny (and Sandy) Pitman of Ferguson, Mike (and Gloria) Pitman of Somerset and Bruce (and Judy) Pitman of Nancy; two sisters, Diane (and Dannie) Holt of Indianapolis, IN and Cathy (and Billy) Coner of Nancy; one sister-in-law, Star Pitman of Somerset; several nieces and nephews, other family members and friends; including a special cousin, Ian Tyler Bray.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.


Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, David Pitman.


Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.


His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 1:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Carter officiating.  Burial will be at Mill Springs National Cemetery.  Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard. 


The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church or the Gideon Bible Memorial Fund.
