Not sure what to say?

I wish I had known you Charlie, but I got to know you through Roy Hurd, and his song dedicated to you, and I have still on the back of my trike riding for Charlie, and now I have added Leo. I missed my chats with Ada and I hope you are all together. You are not forgotten. Your memory will live on. Continued prayers for the many friends and family

We had some great times together, I enjoyed our time on the golf course. He was the best, a true friend for life. Bill Pearsall

16 yrs...it doesn't seem possible. I think of you often but miss you everyday. I hold my memories close to my heart. Give your mom my love...Love ya "Dad"

Charlie, just want you to know you are not forgotten. Nor is Adah you are together now. I want you to know that I ride in your honor every time I get on my trike. RIP with your family.

I first met Charlie when I was about 12 years old---he used to bring me to the races at Airborne with Larry Marcotte. We instantly "adopted" one another. My own dad had passed a few years earlier and Charlie just seemed like a natural replacement---I always referred to him as DAD, and I was "his kid". There isn't a day that goes by that I don't miss him and think of him. I was out of town at the time of his death and was heartbroke that I couldn't be here for the services. When I did get...

I never met Charlie, and I am overwhelmed and humbled by the entries I've read here, but I feel I've come to know him through the great tribute to him in the music by Roy Hurd. I would like to thank him for his great service and sacrifice to our country, and extend my deepest sympathies to his family and friends. He is a true American Hero and will never be forgotten. I know what it is like to lose someone you love and my heart goes out to all of you.
Sincerely

I met Charlie a couple years ago through some friends... what a hoot he was. He always kept us laughing. I'll miss his wise-acre comments!

Charlie,
A very sweet man. A good friend. A big heart. Very much family. You will always remain deep in my heart. You will be missed. Your kindness never went unnoticed. All the fun and laughter will never leave my heart. All your struggles with your life since Vietnam, you handled with such dignity. During your battle this time, once again you handled yourself with the same dignity. My respect for you has always been immense and always will be.
Love,
...
