Not sure what to say?

Dear Paula, and family,

It is with great sadness that I write to you on this occassion of Charley's passing away. Yet, the pleasure I take from having known him for all these years allows me to feel most fortunate and hope that your sorrow can be assuaged to some degree by knowing what a fine man he was.

Our entire family loved Dr.Polivy. I called him earlier this year to say hello. We kept in touch from time to time and appreciate all of the kindnesses he has shown us.He will always be in our heart.

Dr. Polivy saved my life. My mother was 3 months pregnant in 1954 when she had a terrible gall-bladder attack. Dr. Polivy pulled us both through it. Then when I was 30 years old he also took out my gall-bladder. I've heard stories about how nice he was all my life, like a part of my family. He will be truly missed. All of our sympathy Rita Cabitor and Sue Dummitt.

As a Course Director at the School of Medicine at UConn, I will always remember with fondness Dr. Polivy's tremendous enthusiasm for teaching and his deep love of the students. Please accept my most sincere condolences.

We were deeply saddened to hear of Charles' passing. My family has such fond memories of the many visits to Scoler's. My daughters always had a special smile when Dr. Polivy's name was mentioned. He will truly be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

We were heartsick to hear of Charlie"s death. We were at Beth El
on October 25 and wondered why you
were not at the Service. Charlie
was always so pleasant. My
grandmother loved him and called him
Mr. Polimar.
He has been your companion for many
years and he will be missed.

Dear Paula & Family -

I am so sorry to learn of Charlie's passing. He leaves a wonderful legacy of kindness and competence as a physician and as a neighbor, friend and a wonderful and productive member of our community. My heartfelt condolences go out to you.

Your neighbor and friend.
