Not sure what to say?

We'll miss Charlie and all he believed, in his support to the American Legion and programs. Charlie was really dedicated and never gave up.
Even once sharing a cane when he forgot to bring his to Boys State in Lynchburg. Sincerely, Bill and Geraline Robertson.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I enjoyed working for him and your mother at the florist. My deepest sympathy.
Charlotte (Clark) Hamlet

We send sympathy to the Powell family. As members of the TPA family, we had many happy times together with Charlie and Virginia.

Past National President Reginald Stroud and wife, Maidred from North Carolina

I had the pleasure to know and serve with Mr. Powell through my membership with the American Legion and as a member of the Va. Dept. of Va. Finance Committee which he chaired for a number of years. He was a true Virginia Gentleman and reminded me so much of my Dad. His wisdom and knowledge was an asset to all with whom he worked and associated with. He was very soft spoken, but got his point across and would always add at the end "and things like that".

Our condolences goes out to the...
