I do not have to tell you what your daddy meant to me. He was the kindest, sweetest, most sincere man I've ever met, and funny too. I loved just going over there to take him some homemade fudge, cheerios, meals, or whatever else he would call me and ask for...like a new CALLER ID. ha ha He was so full of quick humor and could make me laugh on the worst day. He was my special friend and I loved him to pieces... I will surely miss calling him ALL the time just to...

I can remember CL from 47 yrs ago as a small boy growing up in the Smithwood area and shopping at the store with my mom. Always a smile and a good word.

i want to say that i will miss C.L. i will always remember him, when you would ask me if i wanted a treat ! and he would give me some fruit or candy. it was good to work with him at Pratts country store. i used to call him uncle C.L. he loved to laugh and make me laugh !!!
