Not sure what to say?

I was talking to Art Hambley's daughter the other day and you were mentioned in the conversation. See Charley? You are never really gone as long as there are those that still remember you! You were quite a personality that everyone admired and liked. Me included.

Charlie was a unique individual. He was in the car business the same time I was. Always upbeat and a "True Gentleman" My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. God Speed My Friend!

I worked with Charlie at H.J. Cooper Dodge back in the late 60's. Charlie was a good guy and always fun to be around. I remember Charlie and Art Hambley sitting there in the old used car lot on Portage St. Lots of good memories of the "good old days" in the car business. Rest in peace Charlie!

Doris, Janine and Steven So sad and sorry to hear of the loss of Dear Charlie. He started teaching me the Used Car business in 1959 at White Bros. on Portage St. in Kalamazoo. We stayed friends and worked together at other dealerships in Kalamazoo for many years. THANK YOU CHARLIE for starting me on a lifelong career in the automobile business. YOU WERE THE BEST. A lot of fond memories. Rest in Peace.

I recall the silver dollar he always carried with him.
He was truly one of the GREAT ONES in the local car business and I aspired to be...
