I knew Charlie from the AWANA program. We were camp counselors for several years. His love for his sons and his patience and Christian concern for his 'campers' was evident to all. He always was enthusiastic in all he did from sharing about his work to helping with making cardboard boats for the camp races. What an inspiration to all. Many were blessed by Charlie.

Charley was a pleasure to work with. He was exceptional in the work he did with the Valley Division MAIT team and in my opinion was the best Motor Carrier Specialist ever to work for the CHP's Multidisciplinary Accident Investigation Team. I missed him as soon as I walked out the door after my retirement from the CHP in 1998. Rest in peace Charley. My condolences to the family.
