I was truly saddened to hear of Charley's passing. He has been a customer of our shop for over twenty years. I believe he was the shop's first customer, actually. I enjoyed the times he would come in and chat about a number of subjects, always finding humor in one form or another. We shared a lot of laughs throughout the years. We also traveled to Chicago together on an A's group trip. I was there when he caught (or more accurately, scrambled for and recovered) his first foul ball. ...

When we lose a loved one, keeping their memory in our hearts will help us to heal with tears, then with laughter. Charley, it has been a pleasure to have known you and all the fun times we have shared at BGP. The stories will keep you alive and allow us to share a smile remembering.

God bless your soul Charley , Your long time battle with diabetes is over and you can be in peace and be in company with your mom. You are both deeply missed by your family. I remembered you as a little boy romping around with Tom when I visited your sister and my long time friend Kim when we were in High School. Go Red Sox!
