Charlie Reep was a neighbor and friend of our family for over 30 years. I fondly remember Charlie's great humor, his kindness and patience with children and a style playing third base on the Church softball team that rivaled Clete Boyer. When we are young, there are adults we all wish we could grow up to be like. Charlie was one such man. He will be missed but joyously remembered.

I am the husband of Sandra McDougald, daughter of Dan & Delores McDougald. Dan worked with Charlie at Westinghouse for 30+ years and were very close to the Reep family. Charlie was one of the nicest, friendliest person I have ever met. Dan and I played golf with Charlie on a few occasions and it was a joy because he was truely a pleasure to be around. Sandra and I are saddened by Charlie's death and send our condolences to Mary Ann and the family. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him.

Charlie was indeed a wonderful person and he cared about everyone.
His storytelling will truly be missed. There were was always humor in them and he laughed as hard as everyone else.
I will miss our discussions about golf, his children, grandchildren and Mary Ann's Dump Cake.
Thanks Charlie

Just happened to be in Hickory and saw Charles' obituary in the local paper. He and I were in the freshman class at Lenoir-Rhyne in 1944. Our last contact was in 1946. Even though it has been so long, I distinctly remember how positive and friendly he was. My sympathy is with his family.

A good man. A good friend and someone who was a joy to be around. I played golf with him for several years. His storytelling and sense of humor will be missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
